Who we are

INTRODUCTION

Henzo Kenya is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) dedicated to supporting individuals affected by cancer and rare diseases. We focus on public awareness, mutual support, advocacy, and research to improve outcomes for patients across Kenya. Our primary mission is to reduce mortality from Leukemia (CML, AML, ALL, MPN, Lymphomas), Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST), and other related conditions. With a growing community of over 2000 members nationwide, we provide a platform for shared experiences, knowledge, and resources to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families.

OUR MISSION

To improve the lives of cancer patients and those with rare diseases through awareness, advocacy, and a strong support system. We provide information, emotional and social support, and champion policies that enhance care and treatment. Our goal is to ensure that no patient in Kenya faces their journey alone.

OUR VISION

A future where every cancer patient in Kenya has access to the information, support, and care they need to live with dignity, hope, and resilience. Here’s a refined and more conversational version of Henzo Kenya’s goal:

OUR GOAL

At Henzo Kenya, our goal is simple —to reduce the mortality rate of leukemia, GIST, rare diseases, and other related conditions in Kenya. We do this by focusing on four key areas:

  1. Awareness – We educate the public through workshops, seminars, and training programs, using research-based information to empower communities with knowledge about cancer and rare diseases.
  2. Support – We create safe spaces for patients, survivors, and their families by offering counseling, peer support groups, and a strong community that understands their journey.
  3. Advocacy – We work alongside government and non-governmental organizations to push for policies and resources that prioritize cancer care and improve patients’ quality of life.
  4. Research – We seek to understand the challenges patients face by identifying gaps in available resources and advocating for better access to care and information.
