October 19th is Max’s Day. We honor the day because it marks Max’s birthday. At the very same time, we honor all the people who have been helped in his name. Max’s name has become a symbol of hope around the world through the work of The Max Foundation. The programs under the Max Foundation in Kenya are:
the Advanced and metastatic, HER2-negative, hormone-positive breast cancer, whose patients can access Abemaciclib and Letrozole at no cost. Another drug under the program is Glivec, which is used to treat children and adults who have certain types of cancer, but mainly Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia with Philadelphia chromosome positive (Ph-positive ALL), and Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST).
